The ability to copy a task or continue its recording can sometimes come in handy - for example, if you have recently worked on it and want to work on it again or continue it without having to re-enter the associated metadata.
Depending on which mode you are in, you can either copy a time entry to the timer bar or resume the recording directly.
Below you will learn how both features work:
#01 Copy a time entry
1 | First, go to Timer via the navigation menu.
|
2 | If you are in Simple View or Grouped View, your most recent time entries are listed here in chronological order.
|
3 | If you are not in Edit mode yet, click the pencil icon to the right of the yellow play button.
|
4 | Now click on the 3-dot menu to the right of the time entry you would like to copy and select Copy time entry from the context menu.
|
5 | The Description, Project, Task, Tag as well as Billing Capability fields have now been copied to the timer bar according to the time entry to be copied.
You can now adjust the Start and End time or the Duration of your new time entry according to your wishes and then save it as usual via the yellow Save button. |
#02 Continue a time recording
1 | First, go to Timer via the navigation menu.
| 2 | If you are in Simple View or Grouped View, your most recent time entries are listed here in chronological order.
| 3 | If you are not in Stopwatch mode yet, click the stopwatch icon to the right of the yellow save button.
| 4 | Now click on the 3-dot menu to the right of the time entry you would like to continue and select Start recording from the context menu.
| 5 | The Description, Project, Task, Tag as well as Billing Capability fields have now been copied to the timer bar according to the time entry to be copied and the recording continues directly again. To stop recording again, simply click the yellow Stop button as usual.
