timeghost can be used not only via the browser, but also via Microsoft Teams. Here, too, the full range of features is available to you as a user.


In this article you will learn how to integrate timeghost not only for yourself, but also for your entire organization or a specific group of them.

#01 Install timeghost app

First, as an admin of your organization, you access the Microsoft 365 Admin Center from your browser.

Then go to Show all and then select Teams further down.

In the newly opened tab, use the side navigation to open the Teams apps dropdown and then navigate to Setup Policies.

You can either provide timeghost via the teams navigation ... 


a) ...  to all members of your organization or ...

b) ... only to selected members of your organization.



For a) select Global (Org-wide default), for b) click Add above and then enter a name for the group you want to set up (e.g. "timeghost App“).

Then select Add apps in the middle section below Installed apps.

In the lower of the two search fields, enter "timeghost" and click Add as soon as the app is suggested in the results. Finally, click Add again at the very bottom.



#1.1 Add users to the new group


If you have newly created the group you authorized just before, you should still add users to it. This is the way to do it:

Tick your newly created group to the left of its name and then select the Manage users Users button at the top.

Search for users from your organization using the search function and Add them to the group.

Finally, click Apply.



#02 Pin timeghost app


If you pin the timeghost app, it will be permanently displayed to team users in their Teams navigation, making it even easier for them to access.

To do this, click Add apps again in the Pinned Apps section.

Here, as before, search for "timeghost" in the lower search field and then select Add ... and Add again.



#03 Set position of the timeghost app


After pinning the app, it will now be displayed to all group members at the bottom of the side navigation in Teams. You can change this order and position it, for example, in 3rd place for all:

First select the timeghost app by ticking it on the left.

Select the Move up button above to move the app up.

Finally, confirm your changes by clicking Save changes.
