timeghost Time tracking can be used on smartphones and tablets, so you can access your workspace and track time while you are away from your computer.

Depending on your device and preferred workflow, you can use timeghost in a mobile web browser, install it as a Progressive Web App (PWA), or open it through the Microsoft Teams mobile app.

In short

You can use timeghost Time tracking on mobile devices through your browser, as an installed PWA, or within Microsoft Teams. For frequent mobile use, installing timeghost as a PWA provides particularly quick, app-like access from your Home Screen.

Use timeghost in your mobile browser

You can open web.timeghost.io directly in a supported browser on your smartphone or tablet.

Sign in with the Microsoft account associated with your timeghost access. If you have already been invited to a workspace, timeghost will usually open that workspace directly.

Using timeghost in the browser does not require an additional installation and is useful if you only need mobile access occasionally.

Install timeghost on your Home Screen

If you use timeghost regularly on your mobile device, you can install it as a Progressive Web App (PWA).

The installed web app can be launched directly from your Home Screen and opens timeghost in its own application view. You continue to use the same Microsoft account, workspace, permissions, and data.

The exact installation process depends on your device:

  • On Android, timeghost can be installed using a supported browser such as Google Chrome.

  • On iPhone and iPad, timeghost can be added to the Home Screen using Safari.

For detailed instructions, see Install timeghost Time tracking as a Progressive Web App (PWA).

Use timeghost in Microsoft Teams Mobile

If your organization uses Microsoft Teams, you can also access timeghost through the Microsoft Teams mobile app.

Open Teams and select timeghost from your available apps. If timeghost is already part of your regular Teams setup, this allows you to access your workspace without using a separate browser.

Depending on your device, connection, and Teams environment, loading an embedded app in Teams can occasionally take longer than opening timeghost directly. If you prefer faster direct access, using timeghost in your browser or as a PWA can be a convenient alternative.

Choose the access method that fits your workflow

You do not need to choose one mobile access method permanently.

For example, you can install timeghost as a PWA for everyday time tracking and still open the same workspace through Microsoft Teams whenever that better fits your workflow.

Regardless of how you access timeghost, the available areas depend on the time tracking setup, your role, and your permissions in the selected workspace.
