Administrators of a Workspace can create Alerts via the Workspace Settings.


Project Alerts inform Workspace Members when a previously self-defined percentage of a Project's total Budget has been reached.

Project Budgets can either be entered manually in the Project as a total time Budget or they can be calculated automatically on the basis of the Project Tasks created for a Project and their respective effort estimates.

In this tutorial you will learn how to create a new Project Alert as an Administrator.

Create a new Project Alert

First, go to Settings from the navigation menu on the left and from here go to the Alerts tab.

Then click the Create Alert button in the upper right corner.

Enter a Name for the Alert you want to create
(e.g. "Project Alert 1_Project Manager_80%").

Under Type, Project is already preselected - so you can leave this entry as it is and skip it in this case.

In the next line, enter the percentage value at whose Project Budget consumption a notification is to be sent out (e.g. "80").

In the last line, use the dropdown to select which of the displayed groups should be notified when your stored percentage value is reached:

Administrators:

All Administrators of the Workspace are notified by e-mail when the percentage value is reached

Project Managers:

All Project Managers of the respective Project are notified by Email when the percentage value is reached

Team Members:

All Team Members of the respective project are notified by Email when the percentage value is reached


If you want several groups to be notified in this case, you can also create several Alerts and then store the corresponding group in each case - the same applies if Email notifications are to be sent for different percentage values reached.

Finally, after you have made all the settings for your new alert, create it with Create Alert.
