As an administrator of a workspace, you can store an individual flat hourly rate as well as flat hourly labor costs for each team member of your workspace.
The hourly rate you determine applies to all time entries that the respective team member books as billable and is thus interpreted as earnings of the respective project as well as earnings of the employee.
When a general hourly rate is already stored in the workspace, it will be overwritten by the individual hourly rate for the team member and will always be applied if not defined again individually differently on project or project member level.
Below we will show you step by step how to make both settings:
#01 Set individual labor cost
1 | First, go to Team via the navigation on the left side.
|
2 | Here, you click on the 3-dot menu to the right of the team member whose Labor cost you want to define.
|
3 | Select Edit from the context menu.
|
4 | In the new popup you are already in the Labor cost input field. Enter the hourly amount for the work of the selected team member (e.g. "36,70" or "44,21").
The currency displayed is based on your setting in the workspace.
|
5 | You now have the option to save changes ...
... or to enter the individual hourly rate for all billable times of the selected team member in this step as well (see below from step 4). |

In our next article here, you'll learn how to set a flat hourly rate for a specific project, which will override the individual hourly rate and the general hourly rate for the workspace if the situation arises.
