Hello Norman,
Thanks for the feature request. That's a very cool idea to improve timeghost!
We discussed the pomodoro timer in our team meeting and we want to implement it and also other workflow techniques in the future. We will keep you posted on the progress here.
Kind regards,
timeghost team
Norman
A Pomodoro Timer is intended to ensure a better workflow.
You set it to work for 30 minutes and take a 5-minute break after every 30 minutes. This is repeated 6 times until a 30min break follows. (Everything is selectable)
But a real workflow rarely takes place in companies, since the flow is usually interrupted by notifications through teams or a mail.
If only there was a software for this which was compatible with Microsoft programs like Outlook, Teams, ...
Although there is timeghost. Isn't that exactly timeghost's strength?
Isn't there a gigantic chance for timeghost? timeghost can make sure that on the one hand a workflow is built up by the Pomodoro Timer and on the other hand it can make sure that you are not torn out of the workflow by a message blockade. In the Pomodoro settings, as added, you can select another check mark (e.g. Notifications) which will not let you through any notifications during the 30 min working time. In the break a small window appears with "You have 5 messages in teams and 2 new mails"(Example attached).
Additionally, you might be able to select an additional sub-item under Notifications (e.g. Custom). Here you can choose which messages should be displayed by which persons. For example, important customers or the boss should not be ignored.
